Keeping your body tone and in top shape takes work.  That work might involve some weight lifting, some running and maybe some muscle toning work done on workout equipment.  If you are a member of a gym, then you can make use of the many types of machines offered there to work certain muscle groups.

You can also swim laps in the pool which will work every muscle in your body.  Many women find swimming both energizing and a great way to workout.  If you have a pool at home, you can swim whenever you want and not have to drive to the gym to get your daily swim done.  Some people will have a pool put in their backyard for this reason and then the whole family can enjoy the fun a pool offers.  Everyone can enjoy a pool, especially during the summer months.

If you don’t want the cost of an in-ground pool, you can check out the many shapes and sizes offered today for outdoor swimming pools that are above ground.   Then you will be able to do water aerobics which is easier on your joints and still a great way to tone your body.
