Pregnancy1The first twelve weeks of pregnancy are exciting and can be overwhelming. But as you go through pregnancy week by week you will experience many new sensations. Commonly, you will be repelled by certain smells and tastes at the beginning, as you digestion slows down. Cravings are the opposite of aversions, so expect those too. Swollen breasts will also be a physical symptom that can be joined by mood swings and acne. Around ten to twelve weeks a diagnostic test for Down syndrome is usually performed that carries a risk of one percent for miscarriage. You will think your due date is so far away, but time passes quickly with all the baby details that you will be taking care of. Pregnancy is base on a forty week calendar and a baby will be considered full term if he is delivered between three weeks before your due date, to two weeks after. Between eight and twelve weeks you will probably have an ultrasound when measurements can be taken of the foetus’s to determine the most accurate delivery date.  This measurement of the foetus goes from his or her, crown-to-rump.
